How to install Gnome Twitch in Ubuntu:
Gnome Twitch is available in Ubuntu 16.04’s main archive, but it’s old. To get the latest release with new features and fixes, you can use either Getdeb repository or Webupd8 Team PPA.
And below is how to install the latest Gnome Twitch using the Webupd8 PPA:
1. Add the PPA
Open terminal and run command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
Type in password when it prompts and hit Enter.
2. For those have a previous release installed, launch Software Updater and upgrade the Twitch App to the latest:
Or just run the command below to install (or upgrade) Gnome Twitch for the first time:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install gnome-twitch
3. (Optional) To remove Gnome Twitch
To remove this software, simply run the command below in terminal:
sudo apt remove gnome-twitch
And the PPA can be removed via Software & Updates utility under Other Software tab.
